SNAP Recipient Map
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps more than 600,000 Coloradans-including children, older adults, and people with disabilities- buy groceries each month. Because the federal government has halted funding during the shutdown, Colorado and every other state have been directed by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to pause the release of November SNAP benefits, leaving families uncertain about how they'll afford food. The heat map below shows where SNAP clients live across Colorado, highlighting how widespread these impacts are and underscoring the urgent need for Congress to act. The State of Colorado is exploring all options to support families and will continue to share updates as federal conditions change.
