Colorado Launches Historic Broadband Investment Program

Colorado is among the first states to accept applications for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) funding through the Advance Colorado Broadband program. The state will receive $826.5 million from the federal BEAD initiative to expand high-speed, reliable broadband to underserved areas, particularly in rural communities.

“This funding will help us achieve universal broadband coverage, creating jobs and improving access to education, healthcare, and work,” said Governor Polis.

The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) will prioritize projects in unserved and underserved locations, using technologies like fiber to ensure strong connections.

Applications are now open on the Advance Colorado Broadband website.
